Before the discovery of penicillin, mouldy cheese was used as a cure-all. It was the "miracle drug" of pre-penicillin days, and would cure almost anything except for mouldy cheese poisoning, which was usually fatal.
The first death by cheese actually registered was that of Brock Halfacre, a peasant landowner from Lower Heswall, in Cheshire in 1257. He was put to death in the stocks, by being pelted with cheeses of various origins
The moon isn't infact made of cheese. The suns a different story though....
When washing a cats coat, add some cottage cheese to the shampoo. The cat will 'scrub up' very nicely indeed.
